The Social Change Project at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University presents a lecture by Deirdre McCloskey, Distinguished Professor of Economics, History, English, and Communication at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  Prof. McCloskey, basing her talk on her upcoming book The Treason of the Clerisy: How Capitalism was Demoralized in the Age of Romance, will discuss the changing attitudes towards capitalism of mid-19th century intellectuals.

Mercatus Scholars Speak Out on Financial Crisis

Tyler Cowen and Don Boudreaux appeared on NPR's All Things Considered. Russell Roberts and Don Boudreaux had essays with Forbes.com. Tyler Cowen also addressed the issue of financial regulation in the New York Times

Roberts, who just released his novel "The Price of Everything: A Parable of Possibility and Prosperity", sat down with reason.tv to talk about the nation's economy and the government's bailout plan following his Wall Street Journal "How Government Stoked the Mania" op-ed on October 3. Veronique deRugy's co-authored piece on recommendations for how the federal government could have built a better bailout appeared on Reason.com.
