Chris Mantzavinos

Biography
Mantzavinos is a senior fellow at the Max Planck Project Group in Bonn and Privatdozent in Economics at the University of Bayreuth. He formerly taught at the University of Freiburg (1995-99) and Stanford (2000-01). He was born in Athens, Greece in 1968, received his BA in Economics from the University of Athens in 1989, his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Tübingen in 1992, and his Habilitation in Economics from the University of Bayreuth in 1999.
In addition to a number of articles he is the author of Wettbewerbstheorie, Eine kritische Auseinandersetzung (1994) and Individuals, Institutions and Markets (2001). He is currently working on a book manuscript, German Philosophy of Social Science, and a paper (with D. North and S. Shariq) on "Learning, Change and Economic Performance."
