Biography
Curtis Melvin is a program developer for the Mercatus Center's Global Prosperity Initiative and Enterprise Africa! project.
Mr. Melvin joined the Mercatus Center in the fall of 1999 as a member of the Capitol Hill Campus team, working to improve economic education among policy makers in Congress. As a member of the Global Prosperity Initiative and Enterprise Africa! teams his work focuses on outreach and effective communication of Mercatus Center and Enterprise Africa! research findings.
In his spare time, Mr. Melvin researches and writes about North-East and Central Asia issues. He is also the creator and editor of North Korean Economy Watch, a blog focusing on North Korea's economic issues.
Mr. Melvin received his Bachelors in Business Administration in economics from the University of Georgia and his MA in economics from George Mason University.
