Stefanie Haeffele-Balch is a graduate fellow with the Mercatus Center and a MA student at George Mason University. She works within the Government Accountability Project and the Regulatory Studies Program and has authored publications on topics such as the Recovery Act and global fiscal stability. Other research interests include the expanding roles of social entrepreneurship and transparency, accountability, and reform in the public sector.

Ms. Haeffele-Balch earned a BA in economics and in finance from the University of North Alabama.
