Written Testimony on the Census Bureau's Readiness for the 2010 Census
July 17, 2007
In this testimony delivered before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Federal Financial Management, Government Information, Federal Services, and International Security, Mr. McTigue addresses the vision of the Census Bureau in embracing change and innovative methods to improve the utility and accuracy of the 2010 Census. Enumeration of the population is required by the Constitution and utilizing technologies not available during previous enumerations can reduce errors, improve reporting accuracy, decrease turnaround time of valuable information, and decrease costs in the data collection process.
