On January 19, 2006 the Center for Economic Education at the University of Alaska and the Mercatus Center at George Mason University will return to Juneau to co-sponsor a series of educational lectures, programs, and economic experiments for Members and staff of the Alaska State Legislature. The day-long event will feature an address by former U.S. Congressman Tim Roemer (D-IN) and a presentation from the Honorable Maurice McTigue, QSO, former Member of New Zealand Parliament, as well as interactive economic experiments and specific policy discussions on: Education Budget Surpluses Health Care Please save this date and plan to join us for a day of economic education and an honest exchange of ideas as they pertain to Alaska and its people.
