Robert Cooter

Biography
Robert Cooter is a professor of law at the University of California at Berkeley and a pioneer in the field of law and economics. Professor Cooter is one of the founders of the American Law and Economics Association and served as its president from 1994-95. In 1999, he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has authored and coauthored several books, including one of the leading textbooks on law and economics. Professor Cooter holds a BA from Swarthmore College, a MA from Oxford University, and a PhD from Harvard University.
