Biography
Houman B. Shadab is a senior research fellow in the Mercatus Center's Regulatory Studies Program. His work focuses primarily on financial markets and securities regulation. Mr. Shadab regularly publishes in academic journals, speaks at conferences, and is frequently cited by and quoted in the media.
Prior to joining the Mercatus Center in 2006, Mr. Shadab was a securities and commercial litigation attorney in Los Angeles and New York City.
Mr. Shadab earned a BA in economics with High Honors from the University of California at Berkeley and a JD from the University of Southern California School of Law where he served as the Executive Editor of the Southern California Law Review from 2001-2002.
