Brian T. Kench, PhD, is dean of the College of Business at the University of New Haven. Kench has built his career around the specialties of behavioral and experimental economics, microeconomics, and the economics of organization. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics in 1994 from Framingham State University and went on to study at the University of Connecticut, where he earned a master’s degree in economics in 1997 and a doctorate in economics in 2000. Kench teaches Intermediate Microeconomic Theory, Economics for Business Leaders, and Foundational Economics for Managers; in 2009 and 2012 he earned Teaching Excellence Awards. His works have been published in the Eastern Economic Journal, the Journal of Economics and Economic Education Research, the Journal of Financial Transformation, and the Journal of Regulatory Economics.
