Jim Pagels was a research assistant for the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Jim was a regular contributor to Forbes, where he writes about sports economics and prediction markets. His writing also often appeared in publications such as FiveThirtyEight, Bloomberg, and Deadspin. Previously, Jim worked at Reason Magazine and other media outlets such as The Dallas Morning News and Slate. He grew up in Dallas, TX and received a B.A. in American Studies and English from Columbia University.
