Ilana Redstone

Ilana Redstone is a former visiting fellow with the Mercatus Center’s Program on Pluralism and Civil Exchange. Dr. Redstone is also an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is the founder of Diverse Perspectives Consulting and a co-founder of The Mill Center. She is the co-author of “Unassailable Ideas: How Unwritten Rules and Social Media Shape Discourse in American Higher Education” and the creator of the “Beyond Bigots and Snowflakes” video series. She is also a faculty fellow at Heterodox Academy. Originally from Amherst, Massachusetts, Professor Redstone obtained her Ph.D in Demography and Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been at the University of Illinois since 2005.
