Adrian Rubio is a PhD student in Law at European University Institute. Adrian earned an LLM in Comparative, European, and International Laws from the European University Institute, an LLM in Legal Practice from the Open University of Catalonia, an MA in Philosophy from Boston College, an MA in Public Administration from the College of Europe, an LLB at the Catholic University of Àvila, and a BA in Philosophy at the Pontifical University of Salamanca. He was a Don Lavoie Fellow during the 2020-2021 academic year and a Frédéric Bastiat Fellow during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years. His research interests include assessing how the administrative law principles of transparency and reason-giving in agency decision-making are impacted by the involvement of experts and algorithms in realms such as environmental and migration law.
