Aleezay Khaliq

Aleezay Khaliq is a PhD student in sociology at George Mason University. Her research interests include the changing socio-political dynamics in Pakistan, and in particular, issues surrounding development aid given to Pakistan by the US and more recently from countries such as China and Saudi Arabia. Aleezay earned an MSc in economics from the University of Leicester and a BSc in economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 academic years, and she was also a Don Lavoie Fellow during the 2020-2021 academic year.
