Alexis Garretson is a PhD student in genetics at Tufts University and the Jackson Laboratory. Her research interests include the development of tools that manage and analyze unstructured data as well as predictive and explanatory models that translate this data into health knowledge. Alexis earned an MS and a BS in biology from George Mason University. She was a Mercatus Center Joseph Schumpeter Fellow during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years, a Frédéric Bastiat Fellow during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic years, a Don Lavoie Fellow during the spring 2021 semester, and an Oskar Morgenstern Fellow during the 2021-22 academic year.
