Alice Elizabeth Pitkethly Calder

Alice Calder is a PhD student in economics at University of New South Wales. Her research interests are in the areas of economic history, political economy, and institutional and cultural economics. She seeks to take an interdisciplinary approach to these topics and understand the effects of policy, history, culture, and society on people’s economic decisions and outcomes. Alice earned an MA in economics from George Mason University and a BA in philosophy from University of Exeter. She was a Mercatus Center MA Fellow during the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years.
