Aqida Nuril (Salma Aqida) Salma

Aqida Nuril Salma is a PhD student in Languages and Cultural Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt. She earned an MA in Communication Studies from Gadjah Mada University and a BA in Strategic Communication from the Islamic University of Indonesia. She was an Adam Smith Fellow during the 2022-2023 academic year. Her research interests include political communication and protest politics in a comparative perspective, with a particular focus on the study of Islamists and the Far Right. Her dissertation delves into the complexities and hybrid nature of the largest Far Right Islamist protest mobilization in Indonesia.
