Begum Icellıler is a PhD student in political science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interests include the interplay between a republican economic commitment to non-domination and worker freedoms. Her dissertation examines the nature and cultivation of political agency. Begum earned an MSc in political theory from the London School of Economics & Political Science and a BA in war studies from King’s College London. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2021-2022 academic year.
