Christoph Sponsel is a PhD student in political science at the University of Oxford. His research interests include protest and rebel movements in Latin America, with his dissertation focusing on demobilized guerrilla members' influence on protests following Colombia's 2016 peace agreement. Christoph earned an MA in International & Development economics from Yale University, a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in International Trade, Finance & Development from the Barcelona School of Economics, and a BSc in International Business Administration from Comillas Pontifical University Madrid. He was a Mercatus Center Don Lavoie Fellow during the spring 2021 semester and a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2021-2022 academic year.
