Eran Eads is a PhD student in performance studies at the University of Maryland. His research interests include using ethnology to examine how communities, publics, and groups (particularly enlisted, rural, queer, and people experiencing poverty) perform their identity. Eran earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa and a BA in English from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
