James Gillard

James Gillard is a PhD student in ancient philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include ethics, action theory, ancient philosophy, and political philosophy. James earned an MA in philosophy from Georgia State University, and an MTS concentrating in philosophy of religion from Harvard University, and a BA in English language and literature from the University of Oxford. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 academic years, and he was also a Don Lavoie Fellow during the 2020-2021 academic year.
