James Goodrich

James Goodrich is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include the utilitarian and republican traditions of moral and political thought, and the philosophy, politics, and economics of information technology. Goodrich earned a joint PhD in Philosophy from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick & Stockholm University, and a BA in Philosophy from The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2019-20 and 2021-22 academic years, and a Mercatus Center Don Lavoie Fellow during Spring 2021.
