Jason Byas

Jason Byas is a PhD student in philosophy at the University of Michigan. His research interests include rights theory, punishment (and its alternatives), and moral repair, along with other topics in ethics, political philosophy and philosophy of law. Jason earned an MA in philosophy at Georgia State University and a BA in philosophy and sociology from the University of Oklahoma. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2018-2019, 2019-2020, and 2021-2022 academic years, and he was also a Don Lavoie Fellow in the 2020-2021 academic year.
