Jonatan Lemus Avila

Jonatan Lemus is a PhD student in Government at The University of Texas at Austin. He earned an MBA from UNIS Business School and a BA in Government from Harvard University. He was an Adam Smith Fellow during the 2022-2023 academic year. His research studies three Latin American countries—Brazil, Mexico, and El Salvador—and explores whether federalism affects the ability of populist presidents to achieve political hegemony.
