Laura Siscoe is a PhD student in philosophy at the University of Southern California. She has research interests in metaethics, normative ethics, and political philosophy. She is particularly interested in conflicts that emerge between liberal states and groups that possess religious or cultural identities that supersede their commitment to the liberal project. She is also interested in exploring the extent to which sustained moral disagreement is a necessary feature of the preservation of cultural diversity. Laura earned a BA in intercultural studies from Biola University. She was a Mercatus Center Don Lavoie Fellow during the spring 2021 semester and a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2021-2022 academic year.
