Mary Smith is a PhD student in public policy & administration at Mississippi State University. Her research interests include the exploration of building social capital networks between rural hospitals and the community to advance health equity and improve health outcomes among individual citizens. Mary earned an MS in health law & policy from Samford University, a DNP from University of Alabama, an MS in nursing from University of Mississippi Medical Center, and a BS in nursing from Mississippi University for Women.
