Michael Lachanski

Michael Lachanski is a PhD student in demography and sociology at the University of Pennsylvania and is affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research. At Princeton University, Michael earned an AB and MPA in economics and economic policy. His research interests include causal inference, evolutionary social psychology, formal demography, and the life course, education and labor policy, migration, stratification and inequality, historical sociology, and social change. His most recent publications can be found at the Journal of Human Capital and Capitalism & Society. Michael was a Mercatus Center Frédéric Bastiat Fellow during the 2018-2019, 2019-2020, and 2021-2022 academic years.
