Patrick Carlin is a PhD student in public affairs at Indiana University, Bloomington. His research interests include health policy and indigenous economics. His dissertation focuses on tribal compacting with the Indian Health Service, whereby tribal governments better control the allocation of health resources. Patrick earned a BS in mathematics from Hofstra University. He was a Mercatus Center Don Lavoie Fellow during the fall 2020 semester.
