Salih Yasun is a PhD student in political science at Indiana University, Bloomington. His dissertation focuses on understanding the causes of vulnerability of political rights and liberties in emerging democracies by applying "Tocquevillian analytics" to the process of democratization in Tunisia. Salih earned an MA in political science from Sabanci University and a BA in economics and international relations from Cleveland State University. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 academic years.
