Sarah Gustafson

Sarah Gustafson is a PhD student in government at Harvard University. Her research interests include the work of Alexis de Tocqueville, the discontents of the Enlightenment following the French Revolution, and European nationalism in the twentieth century. Sarah earned an MA in history of political thought and intellectual history from University College London and Queen Mary University of London and a BA in history and French from Davidson College. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2017-2018 and 2021-2022 academic years, and she was also a Don Lavoie Fellow during the 2020-2021 academic year.
