Sjur Hamre is a PhD student in political science at Duke University. His research interests include the ways in which the increased salience of environmental politics affects key political processes that constrain firm behavior, including voter tolerance for rent seeking, consumer boycotts, and international regulatory diffusion. Sjur earned a BA in economics and political science from New York University Abu Dhabi. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2021-2022 academic year and a Don Lavoie Fellow during the spring 2021 semester.
