Miranda Chase is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at San Diego State University. Her research interests include environmental governance and comparative Latin American politics. Chase earned a PhD and an MA in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, an MS in Integrated Water Management from the University of Queensland, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Brasilia. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic years, and a Mercatus Center Don Lavoie Fellow during Spring 2021.
