Whitney McIntosh

Whitney McIntosh is a PhD student in history at Columbia University. Her research interests include the relationship of individuals to the modern state and the twentieth-century development of broad disaffection toward the state’s capability to govern through the mobilization of anti-statist sentiments within libertarian political constituencies. Whitney earned a BA in international relations and English from Stanford University. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2021-2022 academic year.
