Matt Nestler is a PhD student in history at Stanford University. His research interests include the social and economic history of modern Latin America with an emphasis on Brazil. His dissertation is a social history and political economy of inflation and its relationship with inequality in Brazil from 1945-1994. Matt earned an MA in social sciences from the University of Chicago and a BA in Spanish language and literature from Wesleyan University.
