The Mercatus Center community is saddened to learn of the passing of Colleen Morretta.
Colleen has been a beloved part of Mercatus for decades. Prior to her retirement, she held a variety of roles including board secretary and administrative assistant. Beginning during Mercatus’ early years, she provided critical support for students and staff. Her contributions grew alongside the organization and were an important part of its success.
“Colleen was dear to many of us here,” said Executive Director Benjamin Klutsey. “Even after her active years at Mercatus, she was generous with her time and always ready to share whatever institutional memory would be helpful to us. We are all very saddened by this news.”
She will be remembered fondly for her dedication to Mercatus and her care for friends and coworkers. Our thoughts are with Colleen’s loved ones.
