So, how did we get to the solution that 1 percent of 224 = 2.24?

**Step 1:**As we know, a whole of something is equal to 100%. In this case, we want to find what 1% of 224 is. We know that 100% of 224 is, well, just 224.**Step 2:**If 100% of 224 is 224, then we can get 1% of 224 by dividing it by 100. Let's do 224 / 100. This is equal to 2.24. Now we know that 1% is 2.24.**Step 3:**Now that we know what 1% of 224 is, we just need to multiply it by 1 to get our solution! 2.24 times 1 = 2.24. That's all there is to it!
