San Francisco, CA Supporter and Friend Luncheon

Mercatus Center supporters and friends are invited to an invitation-only, special event in San Francisco, CA, a lunch featuring Dr. Russell Roberts, J. Fish & Lillian F. Smith Professor of Economics at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University.

Dr. Roberts is not just an economist, but an innovative communicator of economic knowledge—through his novels, commentary on National Public Radio, and more. At this event, he will speak about the current state of the economy, providing a historical perspective and a discussion of the consequences and outcomes we might expect in light of the government’s response. He will speak for 30 minutes, leaving plenty of time to discuss these ideas and more with you and our other guests.

About the Speaker

Russell Roberts has authored three popular books, The Invisible Heart: An Economic Romance, The Choice: A Fable of Free Trade and Protectionism, and The Price of Everything The Choice was named one of the top ten books of 1994 by Business Week and one of the best books of 1994 by the Financial Times. In addition to his position at the Mercatus Center, Dr. Roberts is also a research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution and the features editor of the Library of Economics and Liberty. He is also the host of EconTalk, a highly popular  and award-winning weekly podcast that illustrates economic principles and explores how economics emergest in practice featuring one-on-one discussions with an eclectic mix of guests.
