San Francisco City Symposium: Advancing Liberty, Creating Change

Mercatus Center supporters and friends are invited to join us for Advancing Liberty, Creating Change, a City Symposium in San Francisco, CA, co-hosted with the Institute for Humane Studies. This event is by invitation only.

Our keynote speaker will be Garett Jones, BB&T Professor for the Study of Capitalism at the Mercatus Center and Assistant Professor of Economics at George Mason University. Other speakers including Jerry Brito, Veronique de Rugy, and author Brian Doherty will address such issues as:

  • What does today’s government spending means for tomorrow’s tax policy?
  • How does the legacy of Milton Friedman and Ayn Rand influence today’s debates over the future of capitalism?
  • Scholars and policy experts will also tackle the alarming growth of the federal budget, and identify threats to liberty across all 50 states.

There is a $50 charge per person for this event. Dress is business casual.  We encourage you to bring a friend or associate who might be interested in our work at the Mercatus Center.
