Brett King

Federal Outreach Associate

Brett King is an Outreach Associate at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He handles federal outreach for infrastructure, trade, and healthcare issues. Prior to joining the Mercatus Center, Brett spent eight years working in the United States Senate. For over seven years, Brett served in the Office of Sen. Rand Paul. During his time with Sen. Paul, Brett served as an adviser on issues relating to economic development, transportation, commerce, trade, banking, defense and veterans' affairs. 

Brett is a graduate of Kansas State University where he studied Political Science with a minor in Economics. As a native of Kansas City, Brett spends a majority of his free time in the kitchen or in front of his smoker perfecting his BBQ and cooking skills.
