Robin J. Bowen

Director of Federal Outreach

Robin J. Bowen is the Director of Federal Outreach at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Ms. Bowen works to empower federal policy makers with the latest research and in-depth knowledge of Mercatus scholars.

Prior to joining the Mercatus Center, Ms. Bowen practiced as a regulatory attorney at McDermott Will & Emery LLP in the areas of alcohol beverage and customs law. Ms. Bowen also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Eugene Siler, Jr., United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

In addition to regulatory practice, Ms. Bowen has in-depth experience in public policy. She served as a senior legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (KY) and was responsible for legislative and public policy issues in the areas of health care, education, public welfare, seniors, and child protection.

Ms. Bowen received her JD cum laude from the Washington College of Law, American University. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Transylvania University in Lexington, KY.
