Dillon Banis is a PhD student in History at Columbia University in the City of New York. He earned a BA in History from Morgan State University. He previously participated in the Don Lavoie Fellowship. His research focuses on the relationship between sugar beet cultivation and broader economic and social changes in Imperial Germany, such as migration, agricultural modernization, and globalization.
