Shuster's Highway Funding Plan Would Boost Taxes Now, for Transportation Tax Reform Later
Rep. Bill Shuster, R-Pa., has suggested an interested solution to America's continued infrastructural problems. The bill would raise the fuel tax in the short-term, but abolish the tax entirely within ten years, and create an independent commission to suggest an alternative funding mechanism for the future.
