Outcome-oriented performance measurement isn't just a good idea; it's the law. Since fiscal year 1999, the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) has required federal agencies to define the public benefits their agencies seek to produce, identify measures that show their progress, and disclose the results to Congress and the public.

On May 5th, the Government Accountability Project at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University will release its 10th Annual Performance Report Scorecard. Each year, this study rates and ranks the 24 largest federal agencies, shedding light on how well they supply citizens and elected leaders with the information needed to make informed funding and policy decisions.

We hope you will be able to join us at our 10th anniversary celebration.
