You are invited to the 2011
Mercatus Center Holiday Dinner
Wednesday, December 7, 2011

This dinner will bring together an audience of distinguished scholars, senior congressional and agency staff, policy professionals, and Mercatus supporters from the corporate and foundation world to celebrate the accomplishments of the Mercatus Center over the past year.

Featured Performance & Speaker:

EconStories.TV is a video project that teaches economics in a fresh, creative way through the lens of Mercatus Center economist Russell Roberts and creative director John Papola. Since its launch in January 2009, the project's marquis music videos "Fear the Boom and Bust" and "Fight of the Century" have seen more than 4 million total views on YouTube and have garnered international media attention. The videos feature the ideas of famed economists F.A. Hayek and John Maynard Keynes. We are pleased to announce that Billy Scafuri and Adam Lustick, the featured actors from these music videos, will be performing live at the Holiday Dinner.

Following the EconStories performance, Russell Roberts will deliver the keynote address. Professor Roberts will discuss the motivation behind the EconStories project, and why he believes that the battle between the ideas of Keynes and Hayek is as relevant today as ever.
