Please join Mercatus Center scholar Veronique de Rugy for a lunch and discussion on the problems with government spending and what can be done about it.

Thursday, May 19, 2011
Park Avenue Spring
100 E. 63rd Street
New York, NY 10021
12:00 PM –1:30 PM

This lunch is a chance for you to learn more about Mercatus’s university-based research which is helping decision makers sort fact from fiction. Vero will tackle questions such as:

Why are debt and deficits a problem we have to fix now?
How does the President’s 2012 budget avoid the real issue of whether we will live within our means?
Will cutting spending derail the economy?
Can the budget be balanced without raising taxes?

Answers to these and other questions will give you the confidence to separate myth from reality, when speaking to a friend, neighbor, or colleague about the dangers of government spending.

This is not a fundraising event and there is no charge to join us. We are pleased to have you as our guest to show our thanks and appreciation to our donors. Dress is business casual. Please invite friends or associates who might be interested.
