Keith Hall

Former Senior Research Fellow

The diagnosis of the economy and, specifically, the problems of the labor market portrayed in the news are often incomplete. Most Americans want to know what the employment numbers mean for our economic outlook. What’s driving these statistics and more importantly, what’s standing in the way of employing the millions of Americans who are currently without a job?

Mercatus Senior Research Fellow Keith Hall explains the economics behind the jobs numbers and how to read between the lines to get a better understanding of what they mean for our economy and different groups of Americans.

Keith brings a keen knowledge of this topic from his former role as Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
