Speaking before the Chamber of Commerce yesterday, President Obama promised to fight for a more business-friendly climate, but it's possible that President Obama’s promises will never leave the realm of rhetoric.

The president has come to understand the words that matter to Americans, such as innovation and creation.  Now he needs to prove that that he understands what these terms mean.

Government and the market are two tools that society has to accomplish its ends, and that it is through the market that society creates and innovates, not through government.

It’s not about building solar panels or windmills, it’s about rethinking the role of government and the relationship to the private sector.
