Dr. Neera K. Badhwar is a Senior Fellow with the F.A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and Professor Emerita of Philosophy at the University of Oklahoma. 

She is the author of Well-Being: Happiness in a Worthwhile Life (Oxford University Press, 2014), Is Virtue Only A Means to Happiness (The Atlas Society, 2001, 2015), and the editor of Friendship: A Philosophical Reader (Cornell University Press, 1993).

She has published in various philosophy journals, edited volumes, and encyclopedias. Some of her articles on friendship have been translated into Persian in a volume called Philosophical Essays on Friendship, ed. and translated by Ali Pirhayati (Persian title: جستارهایی فلسفی دربارهٔ دوستی).
