Jürgen Wandel

Jürgen Wandel is senior research fellow at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Central and Eastern Europe (IAMO) in Halle (Saale), Germany. Prior to joining IAMO, Jürgen was senior lecturer of economics at the Kazakh- German University (Deutsch-Kasachische Universität) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He taught courses on economic policy and finance. He holds a doctorate degree in economics from the Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen, Germany. Jürgen’s current work focuses on economic transition in CIS-countries, institutions, and business groups.
