Ryan Budny was a Mercatus Center PhD Fellow during the 2013-2014 academic year. He earned his BA magna cum laude with high honors in economics from Grove City College. He was a Koch Summer Fellow in 2011 and participated in an Advanced Topics in Liberty Conference in September of 2012. He also presented at the Austrian Student Scholars Conference in 2012 and 2013. Additionally, Ryan enjoys teaching economics as an online tutor with Tutor.com. His research interests include Austrian economics, institutional and development economics, as well as the effects culture has on economies.
