Sloane Shearman

Academic Marketing Manager

Sloane Shearman is the Academic Marketing Manager at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. She leads marketing for academic and student programs, assisting with recruitment for fellowships and highlighting their work in creative ways. She also assists the Mercatus communications team reach academic policy audiences, such as through academic conferences, book promotions, and engagement with university centers. Previously, Sloane worked at the Institute for Humane Studies as a Marketing Specialist for the Learn Liberty project and undergraduate audiences. She is an alumna of the Koch Associate Program and Penn State University, where she studied anthropology. In her free time she enjoys reading, making art, and adventuring with her dog, Gatsby.
